In order to create a drawing with drapery, you need to be able to focus on the most important lines, deflections and kinks. The word drapery itself means precisely folds, that is, the image of the fabric in a free state. Learning this art is not so difficult, if you take into account some aspects.
It is necessary
Whatman A4 paper, pencils of different softness, eraser and cloth
Instructions
Step 1
The first step is to position the fabric as you like best or in the way that you can most accurately perform its design.
Step 2
Draw a straight line in the middle of the sheet and divide it in half. Mark the contours of your future drapery design in your mind.
Step 3
Sketch the main lines that are most visible on the fabric, and mark the shadow areas by painting over them with a pencil.
Step 4
Using a pencil, draw a few additional lines with which to build the future drawing of the drapery. It can be either dots or dashed lines.
Step 5
Draw the falling shadows in the foreground. After painting, don't forget to show the shadow of your drapery.
Step 6
At the last stage of the drapery drawing, paint over the background. Use a less dark tone to focus on the foreground.
