It is not difficult to make a lampshade from threads. Children with great pleasure can help adults in the manufacture of this original piece of furniture. The pleasure of the result is guaranteed!
It is necessary
- - a large skein of thick thread or twine rope of the chosen color;
- - an inflatable balloon or ball of a round shape, size - at will;
- - 1 glass of wheat flour;
- - 3 glasses of water;
- - electric socket and lamp.
Instructions
Step 1
Inflate the balloon or ball to the desired size, tie or close the hole. Wrap the ball with threads randomly, in a chaotic manner, leaving a round hole with a diameter of 8-10 centimeters around the knotted hole. The larger the layer of wrapped threads, the less bright the lighting will be.
Step 2
Prepare paste. To do this, mix the flour with one glass of cold water until it is completely dissolved. Boil the remaining two glasses of water and pour the flour solution into the boiling water in a thin stream, stirring constantly. When the paste becomes transparent, remove the pan from the stove. To enhance the bonding properties, you can add 1-2 tablespoons of sugar to the glue and mix thoroughly. Cool the paste.
Step 3
Thoroughly coat the ball with paste so that all threads are well saturated. Dry for 2-3 hours and coat again. After that, dry the ball for a whole day. When the threads are dry and hard, untie the hole in the ball and release the air. Carefully remove the deflated ball through the hole. The lampshade is ready.
Step 4
Insert an electric socket with a lamp into the hole, fasten it well, observing fire safety - so that the heated parts do not come into contact with the threads. Connect the socket to the mains.
