Turisaz means "Gate", which is interpreted as the onset of trials. The name comes from the Scandinavian "tours", i.e. "giant". The shape of the rune echoes Mjolnir and combines the might of a giant with the directed willpower of the protector of Asgard. Turisaz is dedicated to Torah. And this is one of the heaviest Futhark runes.
1. General meaning for divination
- the rune indicates a situation in which you need to very seriously consider the next step, because there will be no turning back. A person stands in front of the "Gate", which can completely change his life, and in which direction, it will depend on himself. There is no rush. You cannot condemn the past. You need to let go of everything that has outlived its own, and accept the coming changes.
- the rune says that a person is in a difficult situation, he acts, looks for a way out, but this only worsens everything. Little depends on a person, it does not matter whether he is guided by someone else's will or his own delusions. We need to stop and analyze what is happening now and what led to the situation from the past.
2. Value for love layouts
- the relationship is conflicting, noisy scandals occur, one of the partners is aggressive towards the other. Also for the couple there is a threat from the outside: gossips, envious people, mistresses or lovers on the side. The rune may indicate that one of the partners is literally obsessed with the other, and this will lead to bad consequences.
- relations from the outside look harmonious, but partners have internal dissatisfaction with each other, hidden grievances or loss of attraction. Nothing threatens them from the outside, but an internal conflict and a huge number of claims against each other can destroy everything.
3. Value for layouts to determine personality
- rune means a person who has decided to take a serious step. He is collected and alert, ready for dangers and traps. This person wants to start acting, but has not yet decided how and has not chosen with whom.
- we are talking about a person who thinks he is in an impasse. He doesn't know what to do next and where to go. He is ready to give up the goal, despite the efforts made. And he does not see that the reason for the failure is his own wrong actions.
In amulet practice, Turisaz is used to enhance concentration and self-control. The rune structures the chaos of the unconscious, and has a protective aspect. But it also belongs to the Troll-rune group, and is actively used in combat magic, so you need to be careful with it.
