Soon, the New Year's party and the hat from the popular Harry Potter movie will be a great addition to the cloak. This hat is not so difficult to make. You just have to rummage through the boxes, find an old leather jacket, glue and cardboard.
It is necessary
- - leather jacket, preferably dark brown;
- - glue "Moment universal";
- - scissors;
- - cardboard (not very thick, but dense);
- - pencil, ruler, compasses.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut out the hat frame from cardboard, which consists of two parts. One part, round, is the field, with a hole for the head. The diameter of the inner hole is calculated by the size of the head: the circumference is ready to be divided by 3, 14. The width of the brim of the hat can vary as you wish - 9-11 cm. Before cutting out the brim of the hat, you must draw the entire structure with a pencil. Cut the inner hole taking into account the allowances for gluing + 1, 2-1, 5 cm.
Step 2
Cut out the top of the hat from cardboard. To do this, draw a semicircle with a radius equal to the height, 26-29 cm, and fold it into a cone, trying on to the hole in the fields. We glue it with a cone.
Step 3
We cut out the details from leather. First margins, applying a cardboard blank as a template.
Then we cut the upper part. Slouchy upper for drapery. You can cut the top out of the sleeve of the jacket. The height of the leather upper blank should be 1/3 higher than the cardboard blank.
Step 4
We put the resulting parts of the hat together using universal glue. The fields must be pasted over with leather both top and bottom. To make the hat look like the original, it is better to look at the photo of Harry Potter during the assembly process. You can glue a patch cut from a piece of leather onto your hat.
Step 5
Glue the junction of the top and brim of the hat with a strip of leather 1.5-2 cm wide from below.
Step 6
Leave the hat to dry completely on a flat, horizontal surface. The hat will be ready in 24 hours.
