Step 1
Knitting a spider web is not easy. Even for craftswomen, knitting such a scarf measuring 140x140 cm can take up to two weeks. They say that a real spider web should easily pass through the wedding ring. Usually, the thinnest scarves 120x120cm pass through the ring, but the thinner the knitted scarf, the worse it will retain heat. To knit a spider web, you will need goat down (yarn) and knitting needles with stops at the ends (No. 2-2, 5). They are necessary to prevent slipping off the knitting needles of the loops, since they will be quite large during knitting.
Step 2
To make the openwork shawl-spider web airy, choose the finest yarn, preferably hand-spun, although kid-mohair and angora are quite suitable. Almost all spiderweb scarves are knitted with garter stitch, in which the purl and front rows are knitted with front loops. In order not to be mistaken with the knitting density of the cobweb, knit a pattern first. You need to knit such a scarf loosely using thick knitting needles.
Step 3

Start knitting from the hem. Cast on 21 sts. The first row consists of five front loops, two purl and the next thirteen front. Then make one broach, increasing the row by one loop.

Step 6
Next, knit in the opposite direction, mirroring the first half of the knit. At the same time, on even rows, do not add on the loop, but, on the contrary, subtract. Close the last row of loops straight. Carefully wash the knitted scarf without powder (preferably with shampoo) and dry it without twisting it.
