A DIY AC generator can come in handy in a variety of situations. You can independently make a simple generator based on an engine from an old children's toy. If the engine is not at hand, you can also make it yourself.
It is necessary
Linear magnet in the form of a strip, an axle, two spools of thread No. 10, an enamel-insulated wire, a wooden frame (or a ready-made electric motor from any child's toy), sewing threads
Instructions
Step 1
In the middle of the metal strip linear magnet, drill a hole (it is for the axle), then connect the magnet to the axle.
Step 2
Wind an enamel-insulated wire (its diameter should be 0.25 mm) onto the thread spools so that the frame is filled.
Step 3
Attach the spools to a wooden frame. The magnet attached to the axis must rotate between their ends.
Step 4
Connect the coils in series. The voltage at the terminals during the rotation of the magnet should be maximum - this can be checked experimentally. Your engine is ready and can be used to create an alternator.
Step 5
Wind the thread around the motor shaft. If you connect a small light bulb to the motor terminals and pull on the thread, the light will light up.
