Many Minecraft lovers have encountered an unexpected problem at least once in the midst of gameplay. The game suddenly began to freeze, and such unexpected difficulties completely interrupted the pleasure of it. How to deal with such lags?
It is necessary
- - new Java version
- - some mods
Instructions
Step 1
If your computer is weak, you probably also had lags in Minecraft. Try to figure out the reason why this is happening. Sometimes it turns out that the fault is in the incorrect operation of the Java software platform. Go to the task manager and look there in the list of processes, how many applications with this name are running at the time the game starts. If not one, then complete the extra ones by pressing the appropriate button.
Step 2
When these actions are unsuccessful, decide on a more radical method - reinstall Java. Use the installer for a newer version, which will make the game work better. After that, go through the start menu of the computer to the control panel, find Java there and select View. A window will open, in an empty line in which you must enter the desired parameters of the RAM allocated for Minecraft.
Step 3
Choose the values that best match the amount of RAM (i.e. random access memory) on your PC. For example, if it is 4 gigabytes, write in the line with Runtime Parameters -Xms978M and -Xmx3748M. The first figure shows the minimum amount of RAM allocated to the application, the second - the maximum. The above options are only valid for 64-bit Windows. In the case when on your computer it has only 32 bits, write only one value - Xmx and next to it (without any spaces) indicate no more than one gigabyte.
Step 4
Try to edit your graphics card settings as well. If you have it from Nvidia, go through the start menu to the control panel, find the control panel of the card there and start it. In the drop-down list on the right side of the window that appears, select the item offering to adjust the parameters of the three-dimensional image (3D). Of all the lines that appear, you will only be interested in those related to triple buffering and vertical sync pulse. The first of these parameters must be enabled, the second must be disabled.
Step 5
Download and install a special mod - OptiFine. It helps to optimize the functioning of the game by leveraging the hidden reserves of the system, as well as disabling unnecessary options. Use the aforementioned mod to customize the graphics in Minecraft in accordance with the technical specifications of your computer. In the case when the one is low-power, turn off the manifestations of weather, clouds, drawing distant objects and some other parameters that are not very important for gameplay, but significantly reduce the speed of the PC. Now - after saving your adjustments and restarting your computer - you will probably notice that the lags have disappeared and the game has started to run significantly faster.
