Lags in Counter Strike greatly reduce the comfort of the gameplay. In most cases, they are caused by connection problems with the remote server, but they can also be caused by the lack of necessary computer power.

Step 1
If you play Counter Strike on a local network, or through the intranet resources of your Internet provider, then lags can occur when using these resources in parallel. In order to get rid of them, close all programs that may or are already using intranet traffic. These can be torrent clients, DC hubs, browsers downloading something on the network.
Step 2
After disabling these programs, check how much the ping of the game connection has decreased. To do this, right in the game, press the TAB key. The ping is indicated in the rightmost column of the opened table. As a rule of thumb, when you disable traffic-consuming programs, the ping should stabilize and the lags should disappear.
Step 3
If you play Counter Strike on the Internet, then lags can occur due to excessive use of traffic by programs running in parallel. In order to get rid of lags, close all programs that use the Internet connection. These can be download managers, online radio stations and TV receivers, programs for IP telephony, torrent clients and browsers.
Step 4
If you do not want to close programs, then reduce their traffic consumption in the settings. You can limit the download speed in download managers and torrent clients by specifying a specific limit number. You can reduce the traffic consumption of online radio stations by lowering the bitrate of the received sound. Streaming video viewed in a browser can also be made lower quality to reduce traffic consumption.

If all problems with the connection are resolved, and lags are still present, close all parallel programs that may use a large amount of computer hardware resources. These can be video players, video editors, image editors, antiviruses and much more. If you are playing on a laptop, then the problem can be solved by connecting it to the mains.
