Inventory in Minecraft is a special menu for managing objects and moving them. Inventory consists of tool and object slots, armor slots, crafting grid, and character model.
Basic information
You can call up the inventory with the E key, if you have not changed the initial settings. By pressing the same key or the Esc key again, the inventory can be closed. It should be borne in mind that opening the inventory does not stop the game world, so you should be careful in the presence of unfriendly monsters.
In the regular version of the game, the inventory contains four slots for different pieces of armor, twenty-seven slots for storing various items and a quick selection panel of nine slots. You can move between the positions of the quick selection panel using numbers from one to nine, or by scrolling the mouse wheel. The inventory window also has an area for crafting or creating items in the size of two by two cells, if you leave items there, after closing the inventory, they will simply fall out.
Most of the items can be stacked or stacked; there can be no more than sixty-four items in one stack. But tools, potions, and armor don't stack. Some items can only stack up to sixteen pieces.
Any item can be thrown out of the inventory if you press the left mouse button while holding the item in your hand outside the inventory area. You can hover over a stack of items and press Q. Items on the ground will disappear after five minutes if not picked up.
In the inventory window, you can put armor on the character, for this you need to place it in special cells next to the moving model. If the player is affected by magical effects, when opening the inventory, they can be seen in the upper left, and the time remaining until the end of the effect of the imposed effect will be indicated next to it.
Creative mode
In creative mode, the inventory is very different. You can still call it with the E key. This version of the inventory also contains a quick access bar, but the rest of the window contains all the blocks available in the game, sorted into categories. In creative mode, the player can choose any block in any number. There are two tabs in the "creative" inventory. In the first, you can search for blocks by name, in the second, you can put on armor and destroy items by transferring them to a special cell.
If you click on any block more than once, the inventory will give the player several similar blocks. If you hold down Shift and click on a block with the left mouse button, a full stack of items of this type will appear in one of the quick access slots.
