Every strategy lover will appreciate the game Medieval Total War. Although the game is turn-based, the scenes of the unfolding battles in real time are mesmerizing. Initially, the number of available countries is very limited. Therefore, the players are faced with the question of opening all powers to a wide choice.
Instructions
Step 1
Start the game. Before you will be a menu in which you can choose the type of game. We are interested in "Campaign". Therefore, start a new game in this mode. Next, you will see a list of available countries. The number of countries is small, mainly European powers. Choose any you like and start playing. Before clicking on "Start", you can edit the game settings. Also important is the timing of the company. Either you play the full path, capturing fifty provinces, or the short one. The second option provides for the capture of fifteen provinces and a number of conditions for victory.
Step 2
Start playing. You have to develop your own state. The basis of all this is urban construction. Improving them will allow you to bypass rivals in the material and technical terms. Don't forget to control your expenses and income. The game is primarily focused on war, and it requires money. After strengthening domestic politics, begin expansion. However, be careful. The Pope can excommunicate you, and then you will be at war with many Catholic countries. Therefore, be sensible.
Step 3
Win the game. By capturing new provinces, you will develop your state. If you destroy one of the factions, it will appear in the list of available powers for the game. This is one of the ways to discover a specific nation. But as soon as you fulfill the conditions for a full or short company, all factions will open to you.
Step 4
Use cheat code. If you do not want to go the long way of the company, then you can use a loophole in the game. Search for the descr_strat.txt file in the root folders of the game and open it. Place all factions under the playable line. There should be no nations under the unlockable line. Also note that the nonplayable line must retain its values. Now all states will be open. Before changing the file, save it in its original form in a different location.
