The fascinating global strategy "Blitzkrieg" allows you to control actions remotely in two ways: over the Internet and over a local network. To be able to play online blitzkrieg with other users, you need to properly configure the game.
It is necessary
- - a computer;
- - access to the Internet or to a local network.
Instructions
Step 1
To be able to interact with other players, install the latest patch.
Step 2
If you want to play blitzkrieg over the Internet, install GameSpy from the installed disk (if you do not have this utility yet). In addition, learn that you need a speed of at least 14.4 kbps (or 19.2 kbps if you will organize a server on your computer) or a dedicated channel. Connect to the GameSpy server directly through the client or using the game's built-in screen.
Step 3
To connect to an already created battle, start the game and click the "Network game" button, select GameSpy, or a local network. You will see how the computer will display in front of you a list of created sessions. Look at the icon on the left, if there are crossed swords, it means that it is impossible to connect to the game, since the game has started. The lock icon means a closed game, and the computer image means free access.
Step 4
Double click on the name and select the side you will play for, then click on the button in the lower right corner of the screen. Wait until the required number of participants is typed, at this time you can chat with them.
Step 5
If you want to create a blitzkrieg game yourself, on the game sessions screen, click the extreme button in the lower left corner. A window will appear in front of you, in it again press the leftmost button. Enter in the settings menu your name in the game, the server name (it will be displayed in the list of sessions) and the password (to make the game open only to your friends). In addition, specify the time limits for the game, by points for flags or for frags (killed enemy objects). Select the type of card.
Step 6
In order to create a session, click the button in the lower right corner of the screen. Wait until all players are ready and start the game.
Step 7
If you created the game yourself, remember, you can delete players, stop playing, change settings. To find out all your options, go to the Help / Contents menu, and in the Scripting Language section you will find a complete list of console commands.
Step 8
To call the chat console and send a message to all players, press Enter, write the message and press Enter again (if you press Ctrl + Enter, the message will go only to allies). Please note that while the chat console is active, hotkeys in the game will not work.
