The bedroom bedspread doesn't just protect the bed from wear and tear. Tastefully selected, it harmoniously complements the interior or brings new accents to it. The simplest version of "clothes for the bed" is a fabric rectangle with large allowances that fall beautifully downward. You can turn a blanket into a blanket by decorating it with appliqués and fringes. A do-it-yourself product with ruffles will give a special comfort to the resting corner. The best neighborhood for such a thing is curtains decorated with ruffles or lambrequins.

Instructions
Step 1
Find a basic working fabric for your bedspread. In the bedroom, canvases of calm, muted tones are appropriate. The product, bordered with frills, does not require lining. Choose a tight cut, and at the same time, it fits well into beautiful folds. Ruffles can also be made from a companion fabric of a suitable texture, with an interesting pattern.
Step 2
Steam off the flange, carefully smoothing out any wrinkles on the surface of the canvas. Allow the moistened material to dry completely - this will insure against possible shrinkage after washing the finished product.
Step 3
Take the necessary measurements. You need to find out the length and width of the berth and provide for rather wide allowances for hem and seams - about 3-3.5 cm. For ruffles, measure: the height from the floor to the bed; the length of the three sides of the furniture, multiplied by 2. Calculate the places of their connection with the main element of the cut depending on how you plan to install the bed - sideways to the wall or to the headboard. The seam allowances for this part of the bedspread should also be 3-3.5 cm.
Step 4
Cut out a base rectangle and process the cutting lines - tuck the allowances, iron and sew. Cut the fringe and sew the part into a strip of the required length. Sew the bottom hem and side hem.
Step 5
Divide the frill and the cut line of the main panel into several equal sections, marking their borders with pins.
Step 6
Begin to make neat assemblies and mark them first by hand, then sew on a sewing machine. It is recommended to seal the connecting seams with a zigzag. Remove the basting; the edge of the frill, if desired, can be decorated with braid or thick thread in a contrasting color.
