In the last few years, a new trend of fashion has appeared - there is "live" food, namely: vegetables, fruits, herbs, as well as sprouted seeds. Many types of seeds can be germinated, but wheat grains are currently the most demanded. And this is not surprising, because sprouted wheat is the leader among many seeds in terms of the content of the vitamin of youth - vitamin E. Moreover, this product perfectly supports immunity, and also puts in order all metabolic processes in the body.

In order to germinate wheat, you need to purchase healthy grains that have not been chemically treated. Naturally, when buying wheat in a store, you cannot be 100 percent sure of the environmental friendliness of the product, but you can always check it at home. To do this, just pour a small amount of wheat with warm water and look at the surface of the water: if there are rainbow stains on it, then the wheat is unsuitable for germination. And remember, seeds that do not germinate for a long time (more than three days) are a sign of poor quality of the product.

So, after you purchase the grains, rinse them thoroughly in cold water, remove low-quality grains (dark, damaged), place the wheat in a cup, fill it with water at room temperature and put in a dark place for 12 hours. After the time has elapsed, rinse the grains again until the water is clear, then put the seeds in a wide plate or tray, cover them on top with wet gauze folded in half, and place them on the windowsill. After 12-24 hours, the wheat germ will hatch and the product can be eaten by adding it to salads, yoghurts, cereals, etc.
