Greens in the form of sprouted wheat are a great decoration for the festive Easter table. Placing a container with green grass in the most conspicuous place of the dining area, you can give it coziness and spring freshness.
It is necessary
- - wheat;
- - wide shallow container for germination;
- - gauze;
- - water;
- - spray gun;
- - film.
Instructions
Step 1
The first step is to select low-quality grains, for this you should pour the grains with cold water and mix. All seeds that have floated to the surface of the water can be safely thrown away.
Step 2
The remaining wheat should be poured with water at room temperature and removed for 12 hours in a dark place. After the specified time, the grain must be washed (the procedure is necessary to prevent rotting of the seed), refilled with water and removed for another 12 hours in a dark place.
Step 3
Then you can start germination. To do this, take a wide container, put cheesecloth folded in several layers on its bottom, then place wheat on it in a thin layer. It is worth noting that the grown grass looks thicker, the grains need to be placed as tightly as possible to each other, an acceptable option is in two or three layers.
Step 4
Then you need to moisten the cheesecloth and grains. At this stage, it is better to use a spray bottle and thoroughly spray the entire contents of the container so that the gauze is wet and so that the grains do not float in the water.
Step 5
Next, you need to create greenhouse conditions for wheat. To do this, it is enough to cover the container with grain with a film and put it in a warm, bright place (on the windowsill).
Step 6
After 2-3 days, the first shoots will appear, at this stage the film can be removed. And in order for the grass to grow well, it is necessary to spray the contents of the container from a spray bottle every day during the first week. It is worth noting that wheat grows very quickly, under good conditions the height of the "grass" can reach 10-12 cm in a week.
