The pyramid of champagne glasses is a bright detail of various special occasions: anniversary, presentation or wedding. You don't have to order an effervescent pyramid from a holiday agency, try making it yourself.
It is necessary
- - 55 glasses;
- - 16 bottles of champagne;
- - a table for the pyramid;
- - tablecloth;
- - tray;
- - corkscrew;
- - table decorations;
- - cardboard;
- - ice.
Instructions
Step 1
Decide on the size of the future pyramid. The number of glasses used will depend on the number of guests invited. It is better for the first time to make a low structure, for example, from 55 or 35 pieces. Prepare matching wine glasses. Wide saucer glasses or martini glasses are ideal for the cascade.
Step 2
Before making a pyramid of champagne, count the required number of bottles of this drink. You can use the following formula: one bottle of sparkling wine with a volume of 0.75 liters is enough for 3.5 glasses of the pyramid. So, for example, for a pyramid of 55 glasses, you will need 16 bottles of champagne.
Step 3
Choose reliable and stable pyramid furniture. A pyramid of champagne looks good, located on a small round table covered with a tablecloth with a "skirt" that completely hides the legs of the table. Place a tray on the table to protect the tablecloth from accidentally spilled champagne.
Step 4
Start building a pyramid. For the construction of the lower tier, take 25 glasses, if there are 55 of them in total. Arrange the glasses of the lower tier in the form of a square, each side of which will consist of 5 glasses. Try to keep the rows even and tight and parallel to each other. When you finish drawing the square, line up the lines with a piece of cardboard.
Step 5
Take 16 wine glasses to form the second tier. Position them so that the bottom of each glass is on top of four glasses from the bottom tier. Put the glasses straight, take your time, make the rows parallel.
Step 6
In exactly the same way as you set up the second tier, line up the rest of the rows - the third, consisting of nine glasses, the fourth, of four. Place the last glass at the very top of the pyramid.
Step 7
Refill your glasses with champagne when all guests are present. Carefully pour the drink into the topmost glass, gradually the glasses on all tiers will be filled with it. Pour champagne into the upper glass evenly with a thin stream. From there it will flow into the second level and so on until the very last. If the pyramid is built correctly, literally a few drops will spill past the glasses, and from the lowest level.
Step 8
Decorate the finished pyramid with flower petals or place containers with dry, effectively smoking ice.
