SNS Pilot bindings are specially designed for skating and are a two-axle design, an ergonomic platform without a shock absorber bumper. Their task is to provide the necessary reliability of fixing the boot and ski, maneuverability and control of the ski, as well as to maintain its strength and reliability.

It is necessary

  • - conductor;
  • - ruler;
  • - drill and drill 3, 6 mm;
  • - pencil (marker);
  • - glue;
  • - screwdriver.

Instructions

Step 1

The procedure for installing bindings begins, as a rule, with determining the ski balance line (center of gravity). To find it, put the ski on the edge of the ruler and move it (ski) until you find a balance position. This will be the balance line, which you should mark with a pencil or marker, and then, putting both skis next to each other, transfer the mark to the second ski.

Step 2

Next, using the template, locate the screws and drill the holes. Try not to swing the drill unnecessarily, do everything carefully and carefully, and also try to keep the holes vertical, without distortions. It will not be superfluous if you press the ski with your foot to the floor or secure it so that it does not spring. It is worth adding that some skiers recommend filling the holes with glue before installing the mount - it will fill the cracks and provide waterproofing and additional strength. Otherwise, they believe, during use, water can get into the cavity of the skis, as a result of which their internal "contents" will be threatened with rotting and other problems.

Step 3

Now fix the fasteners with a screwdriver or a screwdriver, but first just "bait" by attaching the screws about half the length (this is in case you have drilled the holes unevenly). And see if everything is in its place and whether it "sits" securely, and only then screw the mounts to the ski completely, with full fixation.

Step 4

After installation, allow the glue to dry for 10-12 hours. By the way, service centers use special Salomon branded glue, but PVA can also be used, which will also provide the required level of tightness and additional strength. But epoxy is undesirable in this matter, because its solvents harm the elements of the ski structure.
