Installing ski bindings is a responsible process. Everything needs to be done slowly, accurately and accurately, because the driving performance of the skis and your comfort while skiing depend on it.
It is necessary
- - skiing;
- - fasteners;
- - marker;
- - drill;
- - screwdriver;
- - self-tapping screws;
- - ruler.
Instructions
Step 1
Find the center of gravity of your ski. To do this, take a pencil, put the ski on it and make it lie horizontally. Move the pencil to the right or left until you get the ski parallel to the floor. When you find the position you want, mark this place with a marker by drawing a transverse perpendicular line. Use a square for accuracy.
Step 2
Take the mount. Find a groove on it, into which the horizontal rod on the boot will then be inserted. Remove all three screws from the mount, attach it to the ski so that this groove falls exactly on the line you just drew. Use an awl to mark the centers of the screw holes.
Step 3
Remove the mount and use a ruler to check that the center mark is exactly in the center of the ski, and the rear marks are at an equal distance from the edges. If not, correct the marks by pushing harder on the awl.
Step 4
Place the ski with your foot on the floor and use a drill to drill the holes in the marked locations. Be careful: as soon as the drill "falls" into the ski, get it out so as not to accidentally drill through it.
Step 5
Remove the plastic clip that releases the ski. Place the ski carrier on the ski and attach it with a screwdriver. At first, screw in the screws only halfway - this will make it easier to fix the work if it turns out that you made a little inaccurate marks. Put the plastic bracket back - to do this, insert the lower end into the loop and press until it clicks.
Step 6
Take the next fastening element, remove the screws from it and attach butt to the already screwed part. Make marks in the middle of the screw holes, drill the holes and screw the rest of the fastener.
