Everyone loves to receive gifts during the winter holidays and many people, especially children, associate the New Year with Christmas boots. You can bring joy to your family on New Year's Eve and create a handmade masterpiece with your own hands.
It is necessary
Thick fabric of bright colors, braid in the form of decoration or New Year's applique, scissors, pencil, thread, needle or sewing machine
Instructions
Step 1
Fold the fabric in half and draw the shape of a boot on it with a pencil. Please note that the size of the boot pattern should correspond to the size of the gift, which should then fit into it. When cutting, do not forget about a seam allowance of 0.5-1 cm.
Step 2
Turn the cut out pattern over your face and sew a braid or glue on the prepared applique. It is better to do this part of the work with the child. It will be interesting for him to observe your work, and to help with laying out New Year's details for the boot.
Step 3
Fold the two parts of the boot with the right side inward, align the edges of the pattern, stepping back from the edge to the allowance, baste the boot by hand, and then sew on the sewing machine.
Step 4
Turn the boot over so that the seams are inside. Now make a loop from the braid with which you can hang the boot from something.
Step 5
Place a prepared gift or sweet treats in the boot.
