Fishing is a fairly common hobby for both men and women. Residents of Moscow - a city that cannot boast of very clean reservoirs full of fish - still have the opportunity to go fishing to their fullest, having left for the territory of the Moscow region. Moreover, a sufficient amount of fish can be found in almost any direction from the city.
North of the Moscow region
This direction is the most popular among anglers. For example, the Volga River, flowing through the territory of the Moscow region near the city of Dubna, is a favorite place for fishermen. The most "fishy" is the lower part of the river after the dam of the Ivankovskoye reservoir. Here you can catch pike perch, asp and even pike, as well as bream and burbot.
Interesting for fishermen are the smaller tributaries of the Volga - Shosha, Lob and Lama, in their waters you can also catch roach, scourge, dace, medium-sized ide, pike and perch. The places downstream of the Lobby and Lama are located in the places of the Zavidovsky Reserve, which are very interesting for fishermen, most of which, unfortunately, is closed for fishing.
You should not ignore the Ivankovskoye reservoir itself, which residents of the Moscow and Tver regions also call the Moscow Sea. The reservoir and the reservoirs outgoing from it have a lot of bays interesting for fishermen, slightly wetlands and small wooded islands. Fishermen who prefer a comfortable time spent on organized fishing grounds can find many paid fishing spots in the vicinity of the reservoir and the city of Dubna. The most popular of them is considered to be the Big Volga fishing base, where you can find a comfortable lodging for the night, a cozy restaurant, rent a boat or fishing equipment.
The so-called "Devil's Swamp", on which the Novo-Melkovo base is located (131 kilometers from the capital and 500 meters to the right of the Leningradskoye Highway), is also loved by fishermen near Moscow.
Other directions of Moscow region
After driving along the Riga highway, you can get to the Sychevskoe reservoir, which has an area of 126 hectares. Arriving here, you can catch a rather large perch (up to 4.5-5 kilograms) and pike, crucian carp, tench and carp. There are also various - paid and free - fishing grounds on the Sychevsk reservoir.
Unfortunately, according to feedback from fishermen in 2013, organized bases did not provide an opportunity to rent boats. It is hoped that this omission will be corrected in the new season.
Getting to the Sychevsky reservoir is quite simple: you need to go along the Riga highway to the turn to the village of Sychevo, and after 3 kilometers the road will lead directly to the place desired for the angler. On the way to the reservoir, lovers of free fishing can stop at small lakes and streams where crucian carp and rotan are excellent pecks.
Another popular place among anglers is the Verkhneruz reservoir, which is the largest reservoir of this type in the Moscow region. The rivers Ruza, Dubronivka, Stanovka, Belaya, Zharovnya and others flow into this reservoir. For a fisherman, this is paradise! A large number of pike perch, asp, roach, bream, silver bream, crucian carp and tench. One thing is bad - the places for catching fish are still rather poorly organized, and you need to know the places of access to the Verkhneruz reservoir suitable for travel.
