The tulip is a flower of the lily family. There are many varieties of tulips, therefore, before you start drawing this plant, you need to decide what kind of flower you want to draw.

It is necessary

  • - a blank sheet of paper;
  • - eraser;
  • - simple pencils (hard and soft).

Instructions

Step 1

So, put a blank sheet of paper in front of you and draw an oval on it with a hard pencil, barely touching the sheet. Place it vertically. The size of this oval should be equal to the estimated size of the bud.

Step 2

Next, using the same hard pencil, draw (outline) the petals. The upper part of the previously drawn oval should not be touched, you need to outline the petals from the sides and front of the figure (draw the correct ovals, but smaller).

Step 3

The next stage is a clearer drawing of the petals. So, take a soft pencil in your hands and give the oval-petals an irregular shape, that is, draw the lines of a slightly wavy shape.

Draw a stem of the required width at the bottom of the bud.

Step 4

The most interesting, but also the most difficult thing is shading, applying highlights and shadows. So, the bud is drawn with barely noticeable lines, it is unnecessary to make them clearer, you just need to shade the middle of the petals and their edges slightly, shade the inner petals a little harder. Hatching must necessarily go in one direction.

It is worth remembering that shadows should be seen more clearly in places where one petal covers the other, thereby forming a shadow.

Step 5

The last stage is the shaping of the stem. One of the sides needs to be shaded a little harder, on the other, with the help of an eraser, mark a barely noticeable highlight.
