Decent games based on your favorite films are rare and valuable. Thus, the game "Ice Age 3" received relatively high ratings. Of course, it was not an AAA-class project that came out, but at least a pleasant and sweet entertainment for the evening. However, there were a number of serious bugs in the game that the developers did not bother to fix with patches - for example, an inconvenient save system.
Instructions
Step 1
Create a save slot before starting the game. Unfortunately, Ice Age will not warn you if you start the playthrough "idle" without allocating memory to save progress. Therefore, before clicking on the "New game" button, select the "Download" item and click on any free field. Now your personal walkthrough will be saved and available at this address.
Step 2
Don't completely trust autosave. This function assumes that after passing each level, the memory slot is updated, and your achievements are entered there automatically. This system usually does not fail, but it can be useful to be on the safe side. Before exiting the game, press the Esc button and select the "Save" menu item. A similar procedure will come in handy if you visited a store in the game and bought any bonus content just before leaving.
Step 3
Check the path where the game is installed. If the save is erased after restarting the product, it may be related to the installation directory. It should not contain Cyrillic letters. So, if Ice Age is installed at C: Program FilesIceAge3, then there should be no problems. However, if the standard path was changed to C: GamesIceAge, then you need to rename the folders in Latin letters: C: GamesIceAge. Also, the problem may arise if the Cyrillic alphabet falls into the path of directly saving the game. Their address is unchanged: C: UsersUsername of DocumentsMy Games, however, the "Username" of the system is often entered in Russian letters. Try installing the game as a different user, such as your system administrator account.
Step 4
Download your save game from the internet. The fact is that after completing the game, you can load your favorite levels over and over again, which means that nothing prevents you from installing someone else's save on your computer and going through all the locations yourself. To do this, download the "savegame" on the Internet and place it in the folder indicated in the paragraph above.
