Step 1
The game world of most strategies is conventionally divided into several parts - this is an economic, military and social component. A wise ruler should monitor the development of these components, and pump them almost simultaneously. In strategies, resources and money are the basis of everything, therefore, first of all, we develop a powerful economy. Even if your goals are to take over the world, then without a significant amount of money and an economy that can provide it, you are doomed to failure.
Step 2
Each game has its own main resources. This is usually gold, but each game is different. Focus on the construction of mines and special buildings that speed up the production of this resource. Invest a significant portion of your money on this resource alone. At the same time, gradually develop other industries (military, social and others). After you have accumulated a sufficient amount of resources, and its production in the maximum mode, proceed with the development of other industries. It will be much easier to do this, since the material base has already been formed.
Step 3
Together with the economy, the military sector needs to be developed. First, create several units to guard your developing state. Don't go to war and don't be rude to your neighbors. As soon as the economic component is completely ready, proceed to create an army. The main part of the army must be created after all the improvements to the military buildings. But if your units are automatically upgraded with the improvement of technologies, then the army can be created immediately. Create a varied number of squads. In strategies, for each soldier, there is another soldier who will be stronger than him. But this soldier will also have an enemy. Therefore, use the strengths and weaknesses of the units wisely.
Step 4
When developing the social component of the game, take into account the interests of the population. The more the ruler pleases his subjects, the more they will love him. Ideally, all of your buildings and infrastructure should be developed to the maximum. Only then will the population be satisfied. In some games, people may rebel over wars. To avoid this, lower taxes, build special buildings (prisons). Arrange holidays if the game allows it.
