Instructions

Step 1

Stand up straight and straighten your shoulders. Check that they are at the same height, the right is not higher and not lower than the left. Straighten your chest, clean up your stomach and buttocks. Stand on both feet with your weight evenly distributed. With all this preparation, you should not experience muscle tension, stiffness, or discomfort. Just stay straight.

Step 2

Take short, sharp breaths through your mouth and nose at the same time. To do this, depict strong surprise, amazement on your face. The inhalation should be silent. This is the same breath that you take in front of the microphone: no one should hear "sniffing", hysterical screams or other unnecessary overtones when attacking - the beginning of the sound.

Step 3

Hold your breath for a count of four. Then exhale slowly, folding your lips into a tube or making a hissing sound: "s" or "w".

Step 4

Repeat the exercise several times. Go to chanting. Open your mouth wide, but not too much, about the level of the vowel "o". Sing the vowels at a note convenient for you (at the border of the lower and middle parts of the range): "ah-e-o-y", one vowel for each quarter. The muscles of the face should be relaxed while singing, the lips should not move. The vowel is formed in the depths of the oral cavity - the pharynx and tongue. In this case, the voice acquires a characteristic fullness of sound, the vowels become not very distinct, but they acquire a noble roundness. Sing the exercise in semitones in the middle of the range, then work your way down to the original note. The pace of the exercise is moderate.

Step 5

Sing the "r" sound over the major scale from prim to fifth and vice versa. Start with the lowest note in the range, work your way up to the highest and back again. The pace of the exercise is fast. Watch for the accuracy of intonation and consonant voicedness.

Step 6

Move on to the songs, transferring the sensations from the tunes to the repertoire. Vowels should be as rounded, consonants should be as voiced, breathing should be as active and silent, and the body should be as relaxed.
