An original set of jewelry can be made with your own hands literally from scrap materials. Crafting is very simple and does not require expensive materials or components.
To decorate an evening or day dress, you did not have enough original jewelry? You don't have to go to the store and spend money on a disposable accessory that will go out of style in a couple of months. Make a necklace and bracelet with your own hands from what is in almost every home - the remains of existing jewelry and an ordinary ribbon.
For crafts you will need:
- narrow nylon or silk ribbon (about 1-1.5 cm wide);
- transparent fishing line for jewelry or thin wire (in extreme cases, a thin nylon thread is also suitable);
- clasp for jewelry of any shape;
- scraps of a chain (or a whole chain, which is not a pity to divide into parts);
- small rings for jewelry.
The principle of creating a bracelet or necklace is the same. For a decorative centerpiece, fold the ribbon like an accordion and string it onto the fishing line (see photo below). Attach small rings to the ends of the fishing line.
Helpful advice
Remember to hem the edge of the ribbon to keep it looking neat and lasting.
If the decorative part made of tape is of sufficient length, you can attach a fastener to the rings, but if not, then lengthen the product with a piece of chain to the required size, as shown in the photo.
Such a delicate necklace or bracelet is suitable for decorating a summer silk dress, a set with jeans or a warm outfit made of thin woolen knitwear.
