Screenwriters often use techniques and plots developed in world literature. Borrowing is inevitable - literature is several centuries older than cinema. Therefore, there are more names and works in its history. And yet, there is already an independent genre - comedy, which combines the features of literary and cinematic poetics.

Instructions
Step 1
Decide what shade of laughter you want to work with. After all, completely different things cause laughter - ridicule, good humor, parody, absurdity and all kinds of paradoxes, ridiculous situations in which the heroes find themselves, etc. Based on the nature of the laughter you're going to elicit in the audience, choose your comedy hero. If you are planning a film exposing human imperfections, the hero can be a greedy official, a loser criminal, an absurd person who dreams of becoming a tyrant and enslaving the whole world, etc. If you want to joke kindly - your heroes can be the most ordinary people, remember the legendary Soviet comedy films - The Adventures of Shurik, The Diamond Arm, Garage. Whichever hero you choose, observe the principle of exaggeration. Those. all actions, remarks, motivations of the heroes should be somewhat exaggerated. Hyperbole is one of the main techniques for creating a comic effect.
Step 2
Let's talk about composition. In general, it can be of a classical type, i.e. contain the plot, the development of the action, the climax and the denouement. Comedy can have a standard set of key dramatic elements. The difference between comedy and other genres is that the motivations of the characters' actions are not necessarily justified from the point of view of psychology or philistine logic. Actions can be sudden and unreasonable. An example would be the following story. The keen collector of paintings has been persuaded for a long time to sell the most valuable painting from his collection. He resists and refuses. But suddenly he falls in love with a beautiful girl who is two heads taller than him and lives a completely different, more prosperous life. In order to somehow reach out to his beloved, the collector decides to sell his entire collection. With the money he earns, he buys a fashionable suit and even a sports car. And here begins his funny adventures to "conquer" the heart of his beloved. An unprecedented thing happened - a tight-fisted connoisseur of art, a collector became a mot and a dude, this does not happen in life, but it happens in comedy.
Step 3
Do not forget that any scene in a comedy movie must end with a joke or a funny event. The only exceptions are "mixed genres". Such as tragicomedy, comedy drama, action comedy and any other genre that is successfully combined with humorous elements. And absolutely all genres are capable of such a combination.
