Dreamworks Pictures' feature-length animated film Madagascar-3: Particularly Dangerous in Europe, which was included in the top 50 highest-grossing cartoons in its first rental month, owes much of its success to the high-quality voice-over work of famous actors who gave their voices to screen heroes.
For the sounding of the third part of one of the most profitable animation projects of recent years, the main cast of actors who worked on the first and second "Madagascar" were invited. So, in the original English version, Alex the lion, dreaming of returning to his native New York Zoo after Madagascar, spoke again in the voice of the famous Hollywood comedian Ben Stiller. Will Smith's wife, actress and model Jada Coren Pinkett-Smith tried on the virtual role of the hippo Gloria. The "star" of previous cartoons, the king of lemurs Julian, was not forgotten: he continued his journey through Europe with the main characters, still speaking in the voice of the notorious actor Sasha Baron Cohen.
Events in Madagascar-3 develop in such a way that not only old, but also numerous new heroes appear on the stage. It is not surprising that the Dreamworks Pictures studio, before the creation of the cartoon, held a solid casting among famous actors and singers who wanted to join the Madagascar team. Among those lucky enough was Jessica Chastain, Oscar nominee for the 2012 Oscar, who plays the villainess in The Servant. She was honored to voice the female jaguar Jia, the circus actress who conquered the heart of Alex the lion. Gia's circus colleague, the Ussuri tiger Vitaly, was “played” by the scriptwriter, actor and director Brian Crenston, the main character of the series “Breaking Bad”.
The Russian-language version of Madagascar-3 is also replete with famous actors invited to dub the cartoon.
