There are many reasons why you want to keep beautiful autumn leaves in your home. If you know how to store them, you can decorate your house or travel albums with foliage of rare plants, or plants that grow far away from you. Plus, nature-themed collages will look even more realistic and complete with natural leaves.

Wax paper method

1. Place the sheet between two pieces of waxed paper.

2. Cover with an old towel.

3. Iron on medium heat. Move the iron to avoid steaming the sheet.

4. Let the sheet cool. Trim off any excess wax paper, leaving a thin edge around the sheet.

Method with glycerin

1. Mix glycerin and water in a 1: 2 ratio. Pour the solution into a flat baking sheet.

2. Dip the leaves into the solution. Cover them with flat pieces of styrofoam. Press down on the styrofoam with stones so that the leaves are completely submerged in the solution.

3. Leave the leaves in the solution for 2 to 6 days.

4. Remove the leaves from the solution and dry gently with a paper towel.

Microwave method

1. Place the leaves between two paper towels and place in the microwave.

2. Set the microwave to medium or low, if possible. Turn on for 30 to 80 seconds. Check for burned leaves. Dry leaves should be kept in the microwave for less time than wet leaves.

3. Leave the leaves for 2-3 days. Then sprinkle with acrylic sealant.
