See how easy it is to decorate an ordinary pillow with an applique made of colorful patches. This decor does not require expensive fabrics or special skills!
To decorate the pillow, a ready-made pillowcase, remnants of fabrics with different patterns, threads. Try to choose brighter fabrics, but in the same color scheme, with small patterns, however, large patterns on separate shreds can look good.
1. Cut out a template (hexagon, square, triangle) from cardboard.
2. Place the template on the diaper, trace around with chalk or pencil to create applique patches. Remember to leave 0.5 - 1 cm per hem on each side when cutting!
3. Arrange the shreds in random order on the pillowcase. Try not to place similarly patterned patches next to each other.
4. Baste each piece to the pillowcase, then sew on a sewing machine.
if you do not have a sewing machine, sew the shreds by hand with a blind stitch.
How do I like this way of decorating a sofa cushion? There is no need to create complex images for such a decor. If you wish, you can sew on ordinary colorful squares in rows, but the resulting product will look bright and unique.
