To make the kitchen beautiful and comfortable, design it before renovation begins. Having drawn it, you can think over all the subtleties yourself, such as content and degree of functionality. To draw up a diagram, it is enough to measure the room and understand a few simple rules for installing household appliances in the kitchen.
Instructions
Step 1
First, take measurements of the kitchen. Measure the length of walls, skirting boards, parameters of door and window openings. Think about how you would like to arrange the cabinets and tables. Measure your stove, refrigerator, range hood, washing machine and dishwasher. Set the scale and draw up the first diagram, which will clearly show the location of all objects relative to walls and openings.
Step 2
Decide which kitchen to choose: straight or angular. In your first sketch, figure out how to position the kitchen drawers to better distribute their weight if they are on legs. Begin to form the headset from the corner, marking the location of household appliances and cabinets on the plan.
Step 3
When placing household appliances on the diagram, take into account that it is better to place the dishwasher and washing machine next to the sink, so it will be convenient to connect to communications. When setting up the oven and hob, make sure that they are not tight against the refrigerator. Place the main work area between the hob and the sink.
Step 4
Note that drawers are more practical than cabinets with doors. It is more useful to build a carousel or a magic corner in a corner cabinet than a sink. To make it easier to use the dishwasher, do not install it at an angle to the sink, preferably on the same line.
Step 5
After shaping the bottom of the kitchen, start designing the top row of wall mounted kitchen cabinets. Depending on the manufacturer, the height of the cabinets varies from 35 to 100 cm. When depicting the hood above the hob in the diagram, think over which option will best fit into the interior. The built-in model is mounted under the cabinet. The chimney hood is a separate unit that is installed instead of the cabinet. The latter has the same height and width as the wardrobes. Place the drying cabinet above the sink if the kitchen is straight; to the right or left of the corner cabinet - in the corner version.
Step 6
After you completely design the layout of the appliances and cabinets, you can start designing. Choose the style, color, countertop and material from which the facades will be made.
