Broken bricks can be used in several ways. It is an excellent material for arranging drainage, decorating garden paths, creating small stoves and original sculptures.
Stove and barbecue
If you dismantled the old foundation, brick fence posts and you have a lot of this no longer integral building material, then give it a second life. Do not waste money and effort on the removal of recyclable materials, because you can make many useful things from clinker right at your summer cottage.
First, sort out the broken brick. Fold small pieces to one side and large pieces to the other. From slightly damaged building materials, you can build a small stove in the summer kitchen or an outdoor barbecue.
Mix cement and sand in a 1: 4 ratio. Dilute with water to form a mass that resembles well melted butter. Place a sheet of iron on a flat area of the ground. Liberally lubricate its edges around the entire perimeter with a prepared solution 2-3 centimeters thick.
Lay the first row one brick wide. Cover this building material with a portion of the mortar and place the second row on it. If you are using halves and quarters of bricks, then connect them with cement mortar, giving a holistic shape. Let the length and width of the oven be such that skewers with barbecue fit freely on it.
Lay 5-7 rows in the same way. As a result, you get a brazier 1 brick wide. The middle of the oven must remain empty. With a spatula with the remaining mortar, go over the outside of the masonry.
In the summer kitchen, you can use clay as a solution, blue is better, but brown is also suitable. Put it in a bucket, fill it with water for 2 hours. The clay will get wet during this time. Knead it with your hands along with water. The result is a mass similar in consistency to thick sour cream.
In the summer kitchen, lay the bricks on the iron shield too. The height of the finished structure is 35-40 cm. Leave a hole on the side, cut a cast-iron door into it. Place the hob on top and secure the pipe with clay mortar.
When it's dry, thicken the mortar and coat the outside of the entire oven. First, moisten the brick surface with water to make the clay lay smoother.
Old building material will help decorate the site
Broken bricks are used for framing flower beds, arranging garden paths. Use a sledgehammer or hammer to grind it to the desired size. If you have material of several colors, then create a road panel in the form of a mosaic, laying out brick chips of different colors in the form of a pattern.
Do you want to please your kids? Make a small copy of Emelya's stove and place it in the garden. Weave a fragment of the fence from the willow twigs and put an earthen pot on it. The illustration for the fairy tale is ready.
You can mold pieces of brick with cement mortar, create a small sculpture, and then paint it. Let the garden be decorated with a mushroom, a beetle, and even a cake made from clinker.
