Who does not like to eat barbecue in the country in the summer after exhausting work in the garden. But to sit and enjoy barbecue, you need a barbecue. And if there is no barbecue, it needs to be built. There are a lot of ways to do this, but not all of them are rational and convenient. Let us examine a relatively simple and not particularly costly method of building a barbecue from brick and natural stone.

It is necessary

  • Natural stone;
  • Sand;
  • Crushed stone;
  • Armature;
  • Boards;
  • Plywood;
  • Cement;
  • Brick;
  • Screws with nails;
  • Instruments.

Instructions

Step 1

The foundation should be made with a margin. In all corners of the future foundation, to the depth of freezing, drill holes where the reinforcement will be inserted. After inserting the reinforcement, fill the holes with concrete. In this case, the reinforcement should protrude 20 cm above the ground.

Step 2

Formwork as soon as the concrete in the holes hardens. Then it needs to be reinforced. The rods sticking out of the holes must be connected to the current rods, then pour concrete all over it. Wait two days for the concrete to harden. Now you can proceed directly to the construction of the barbecue.

Step 3

The lower part of your barbecue, consisting of an underframe and a tabletop, can also be made using formwork and pouring concrete. This formwork should be 20-25 cm less than the foundation on all sides.

Step 4

To make a semicircular vault, make a frame from bars. Fill the top with plywood, metal sheet or linoleum. This will make the surface quite smooth. For this part to serve as an inner vault.

Step 5

Lay the whole thing with stones using cement mortar. Also remember that the box must be further reinforced with rods protruding by 5-8 cm, which then need to be tied to the countertop reinforcement. Make plywood formwork for the countertop, and then fasten it to the subframe formwork. Also reinforce and pour concrete.

Step 6

After the concrete has set, start laying out the brazier (or oven) itself. Lay the rectangular firebox with oven bricks in clay mortar. Make the overlap of bricks and corners. Taper the masonry up gradually - about 2 cm for each row. Next, get down to the chimney. It must be put already on the cement mortar. Cover the firebox with natural stone and attach a galvanized iron canopy to the chimney.

Step 7

It should be noted that this article has some drawbacks: only kebabs can be fried on such a grill. The brazier warms up unevenly, the concrete countertop is not immune from cracks. There is no roof. But such a grill looks very impressive. He does his job, so you can close your eyes to shortcomings.
