Don't throw away your old jeans. Especially if these jeans are made from a good branded cotton material. A lot of useful things can be made of them. And even sew small jeans for your beloved baby. The denim material is natural and windproof.

It is necessary

  • - any trousers of your child for a sample;
  • - scissors;
  • - crayon;
  • - reinforced threads;
  • - a sewing machine with a special foot for jeans
  • - a needle for a typewriter # 100 or # 110.

Instructions

Step 1

Spread your old jeans on the table and examine them. The most worn spots on the jeans are located below the hips, closer to the knees and further downward. Take the child's pants, fold them in half along the center seam. Place the trousers on one leg of your jeans, with the inner side seam over the side seam of the jeans. Outline the outline with chalk, making a seam allowance of 1.5-2 cm. Repeat the pattern on the other leg.

Step 2

Cut out the chalk-drawn patterns. Expand them. You now have two not-so-ordinary parts of the pants. They are sewn along the inner side seams. Sew the jeans along the center seams on a typewriter, iron and topstitch the seams.

Step 3

Open the back patch pockets from the remaining jeans, cut out the pockets for the baby's jeans from them. Decorate the pockets with embroidery or appliqué. Smooth the edges of the pockets inward (0.5-0.7 cm), stitch them to the backs of children's jeans at the same level, then stitch evenly on a typewriter.

Step 4

Sew both side seams and iron and topstitch. From any knitted fabric that matches the color, cut out a belt for jeans. It must be double. Sew it to the top of the sewn pants, pass an elastic or lace through it.

The child's jeans are ready. You can dress up the little mod.
