Notebook or diary, a piece of thick cloth, thick colored paper, stationery knife, glue, scissors, ruler
Instructions
Step 1
First, remove the sheet block from the cover. Use a clerical knife: cut both endpapers, be careful not to damage the block. Set the block aside for now.
Step 2
Place the cover on a piece of heavy fabric. Trace the cover on the fabric.
Step 3
Now with scissors cut out a rectangle for tight fitting, leaving allowances of a couple of centimeters.
Step 4
Apply glue to the edge of the cover. Glue one side of the rectangle, then glue the opposite side. If the spine of the cover is convex, then apply glue to it too.
Step 5
Don't touch the fabric at the corners just yet. Glue all sides of the rectangle. In this case, it is necessary to evenly stretch the fabric!
Step 6
Glue the fabric at the corners, fold them so that the edges do not stick out. Try to keep the edges flat, they shouldn't be too thick.
Step 7
Cut two rectangles out of colored paper, fold in half - you should get two "little books".
Step 8
Apply glue to one outer side of the "booklet", glue it to the block - you get a flyleaf.
Step 9
Glue the second "booklet" in the same way.
Step 10
Now apply glue to the free part of the "booklet" (on the outside), glue it into the cover. Glue the second endpaper too. The original cover is ready.
