Often we need one or another item for the interior or theatrical scenery for performances. Something can be bought in the store, but there are also some items that we will not find even at a flea market. For example, an old scroll.

Instructions

Step 1

In order to make your own scroll, you will need paper. Since a scroll is a piece of paper rolled into a roll, the first step is to determine its dimensions.

Step 2

It can be a standard album sheet or something longer. To make a long scroll, it is best to use a roll of fax paper. Or, in the absence of such, glue several standard sheets. To make the scroll look like antique paper, you need to paint it. There are many ways here.

Step 3

The easiest way is to paint the sheet on both sides with light brown watercolor and dry it. A more interesting way, which will take less time to notice and make the scroll look much better old, is to soak it in strong tea or coffee for a while so that the leaf gets wet, but not limp. To do this, brew a very strong black tea or coffee, cool it and pour it into a container, which will then fit the scroll. Soak it in tea or coffee for ten minutes so that it gets wet on all sides. Then dry it unfolded - and the base for the scroll is ready.

Step 4

Attach ribbons to the edges of the scroll. Write the necessary text on it with paints or ink, roll it up and tie it up. To make the scroll more historical, seal the ribbon knot with paraffin or wax.
