A man bravely fighting an angry bull amazed the audience. To a large extent, this was facilitated by the suit, extremely functional, ideally emphasizing the dignity of the male figure and very effective. The costume of a bullfighter for an adult and for a child is sewn in about the same way.
Trousers
The bullfighter's costume consists of several items. Something you may already have. For example, a regular white long-sleeved shirt will do. White knee-highs are not difficult to buy at the store. I also need short, tight-fitting pants. To make them, it is enough to cut the leggings, process the cuts so that they do not bloom further. The length should be such that there is no gap between the socks and the legs. Pants can also be sewn according to the pattern of narrow trousers. Real bullfighters had them on their thin cloth, but this material is not very suitable for a carnival costume. You can take plain satin, fine wool, or even knitwear without a pattern. Take the simplest pattern, without pockets and other small details. For a children's suit, the pants can also be with an elastic band.
Bolero
An important characteristic detail of the bullfighter's costume is a short bolero jacket. It should be strictly in the tone of the pants, but the quality of the fabric may be different. Thin cloth, satin, wool, thick silk will do. Make the patterns based on the pattern of the jacket or shirt. Transfer the details to graph paper. Leave the sleeves long. Shorten the shelf and back. To do this, step back 5 cm from the chest line if you are sewing a suit for a child, and 10 cm for an adult. Model a shelf. Step back 5-10 cm from the middle and draw a vertical line until it intersects with the neckline and bottom line. Transfer the details of the pattern to the fabric, leaving 1 cm allowances for each cut, except for the bottom. Leave 2 cm seam allowances at the bottom.
Cut out inlays to trim the neckline and edges of the shelf. Neck inlays are made like this. Lay the shelf or backrest on a piece of fabric, wrong sides facing each other. Circle the neck. If you are circling the back, also circle the shoulder pieces by about 2 cm. When cutting the edge for the shelf, circle the neck, part of the shoulder and part of the front. Remove the part, and draw another arc on the fabric at a distance of 2 cm from the one already drawn. The jacket is sewn in the same order as any other. Sweep the shoulder and side seams, try on the product. Top off these seams, iron out the allowances. Sew in sleeve, check fit, then sew in. Treat the neck and before the binding. Hem the bottom. Stitch the jacket with a galloon along the edges of the front, neckline, bottom cuts of the front, back and sleeves. Sew the pants with the same galloon.
Cloak and the rest
An important detail of the costume is the red cloak. For a real bullfighter, he must be removed quickly. For a carnival costume, you can make a round cloak with ties. Measure the length of the product from the cervical vertebra to the hip line. Draw a circle of this diameter on the red cloth.
Make an incision and a notch. Sew the edges, making a drawstring along the upper cut. Insert the tape into the drawstring. Make small details. For example, you can sew decorative buckles on your shoes that match the style of your costume. You can complement the outfit with a hat and a thin long sword.
