An elastic band can be caught not only in the current, but also in stagnant bodies of water. Most often, with its help, they catch sabrefish, as well as carp, crucian carp, bream. If you "charge" the gum with live bait, you can catch both perch and pike. This tackle is used with and without bait.

Step 1
The rubber band has been used for a long time in various reservoirs on the territory of the Russian Federation. It consists of a load, which is tied to a small piece of rope, a piece of model aircraft rubber 5-20 meters long, attached to the rope. Then, through a carabiner with winding rings, 3-5 meters of fishing line with 5-7 leads 15-30 cm long and hooks No. 5-7 are attached. After that comes the main line with a diameter of 0.4-0.5 mm, an ordinary small spinning rod with a reel (this is very convenient if you fish from a boat) or a simple plank for winding the line.
Step 2
The cargo can be brought in by boat or cast from the shore as far as the rubber used can withstand. Further, the tackle works like an elevator: fish to the shore, worms into the water.
Step 3
The maximum stretch of 10 cm of model aircraft rubber reaches 1 m. However, with a strong stretch, it is not very pleasant to bait the hooks, and the rubber will tear so quickly. Therefore, it is better to count on reservoirs with stagnant water 1 m of rubber per 5 m of fishing line. It turns out that in order for the hooks to be located at a distance of 40-50 m from you, 10 m of rubber and a load weighing 300-400 g are enough. Often a foam float is tied to the load on a piece of thick fishing line. Then it can be easily pulled out of the silt and algae.
Step 4
When fishing with a rubber band in stagnant waters, lure is mandatory. If you can use a boat, you just need to feed the place where the hooks are. To accurately put the bait in the right place, and not scatter it over a diameter of 20 m, fix 2-3 small foam floats in the places of the line where the leashes are located - just stick a hook into the piece of foam. After the delivery of the elastic band, these floats will accurately indicate the coveted place.
Step 5
In stagnant waters, it is beneficial to use processed sunflower cake, which is used as an additive to livestock feed. It is a small dense tube (1 cm in diameter). The cake becomes limp for a long time, stimulates the appetite of fish, but does not saturate them. After 3 hours, the delivery of this bait can be repeated. At the location of the hooks, you can pour out several handfuls (3-5) of humus, in which the worms were dug. Once you've dropped your bait, don't forget to remove the foam floats.
