When your hair is too heavy and / or thick, it is extremely difficult to find an elastic band in stores that can hold your hair for more than half an hour. However, this does not mean that you have to say goodbye to some hairstyles. You can make the hair tie yourself, and in the density you need.
It is necessary
- - 2.5 meters of regular linen gum;
- - scissors;
- - pins with an eyelet;
- - a needle and thread of the color you need;
- - a pillow or something like that, so that you can pin an elastic band during work.
Instructions
Step 1
First fold the elastic in half, cut it - you get two elastic bands of 1.25 meters each.
Step 2
Now fold the resulting segments in half, put them one on top of the other and pierce them with a pin in the center. Secure them to a cushion or back of an armchair or sofa.
Step 3
Now number the rubber bands clockwise from one to four. Next, you need to work as follows: put the first elastic band on the second, the second, in turn, on the third and third, respectively, on the fourth. Next, thread the tip of the last elastic into the loop formed by the first elastic. Tighten all elastic bands well. Make sure that the elastic bands do not wrinkle, but that they are tightened neatly and tightly enough, do not change their tape shape.
Step 4
You can continue weaving, as before, that is: the first elastic to the second, the second to the third, the third to the fourth, and the fourth to the loop of the first elastic. And so repeat as many times as necessary. You will notice that the elastic is twisting to the side - this is how it should turn out.
Step 5
Next comes the key point: if you want to sew the elastic afterwards, it is better to do it right now. Sew a tube from a strip of fabric and thread it through a column of nearly woven elastic. Do you want to sew? Then skip this step and proceed to the last one.
Step 6
"Arm yourself" with a thread and a needle and sew the protruding tails of the elastic so that your elastic does not come loose. Having secured the ponytails well, take the braided column by its ends and sew them around the perimeter, pressing tightly against each other. Well, the designer hair tie is ready.
