Light is an important element of any photography. A softbox is a device that simulates light, making it soft and even. Using a softbox, you can get natural and three-dimensional images, even if you have a camera with very modest capabilities. In order to take good pictures, you do not have to buy an expensive professional softbox, you can do it yourself at no special cost.
It is necessary
- - Cardboard box (the size of the box depends on what you are going to photograph. The larger the object, the correspondingly larger the box)
- - Foil
- - Translucent fabric or tracing paper
- - Glue
- - Flash or halogen spotlight
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the flaps of the box so that one side of the box is completely open. The resulting box will be the softbox frame.
Step 2
Cover the inside of the box with foil. The foil-coated inner walls will reflect the light from the flash or halogen spotlight.
Step 3
Punch a hole in the back of the box. This hole is for the lighting fixture you intend to use.
Step 4
Cover the open side of the box with a translucent cloth or tracing paper. This is the last component of the softbox - the diffusion screen. The light reflected from the inner silver surface, passing through the screen, becomes soft and uniform.
Step 5
Install a flash or spotlight. To do this, insert the lighting fixture into the hole specially made for it.
