Step 1
In The Sims 2, you can rejuvenate your Sim with the Elixir of Youth. You can purchase it as a reward. To do this, you need to accumulate a certain number of points that your character receives for each fulfilled desire. The elixir of youth (a liquid of bright green color) is in a glass vessel resembling an hourglass. By drinking one portion of the elixir, your Sim will be 3 days younger. Also, The Sims has a code that turns off the aging process: aging on / off (off - turns off aging, on - turns it on again).
Step 2
There is no such code in The Sims 3. To make your character look younger, you have to work hard. So, there are 2 ways to change the age of a character. The first way is to find the seeds of the fruit of life, grow them, and eat the fruit. Fruit of Life rejuvenates your Sim for 1 day. The seeds of the fruit of life are scattered throughout the city. They can be found at the cemetery, the hospital, and many other places. To plant seeds and grow them, you will need a Gardening Level of at least 7.
Step 3
The second way is to cook and eat the food of the gods (Ambrosia). First you need to level up your cooking level to 10. Then buy a book with an ambrosia recipe in a regular bookstore. After reading it, you will learn that for cooking you need 2 ingredients: the fruit of life and the fish-death. How to get the fruit of life has been described above. To catch the death fish, you need to have a fishing level of 10. It is found in the lake in the cemetery and you can catch it from 00.00 to 05.00 with angel fish bait. Angel fish can be caught in any fresh water body for bait catfish, and catfish - for cheese. With these 2 ingredients, you can make ragweed. After a Sim eats it, it will return to the beginning of its age period, no matter how many days it has lived in it.
Step 4
Ambrosia also allows you to revive a ghost. If a character dies in your family, his ashes can be taken to a research institute. After a failed experiment, the ghost will join your family. If forced to eat ragweed, he will again become a living character.
Step 5
If gathering ingredients is tedious for you, The Sims 3 customization also allows you to extend the life of your Sims. To do this, you need to select "game settings" in the menu and extend the epic life of the sims. This setting applies to all family members. Your Sims will live many more days in each age period.
