The Dembel Album is not just a photo album. Since the tradition of creating commemorative books in the army has developed a long time ago, now the demob album can be called a real work of art. And therefore, when compiling it, certain rules must be taken into account.
Instructions
Step 1
The Dembel album is not produced in one day. As a rule, preparation for its creation begins "100 days before the order" (this is about four months before dismissal). If you want to make an original album that meets all the canons, stock up on varnish. They will need to cover all the pages. Tracing paper is used as a spacer between the sheets, and velvet or cloth (with a ceremonial officer's overcoat) is ideal for the cover. If you manage to get such fabric, it will be aerobatics. Also for decoration you will need foil for making letters, paints, brushes and other specific "army" decorations.
Step 2
Only a person with a beautiful handwriting should be entrusted with the design of the album. In addition, he must be able to draw beautifully. If there are no such talents in one person, you can find two people who want to start making a commemorative book. Typically, these volunteers are among young soldiers who have only recently entered the service. According to the army tradition, a demobilization album is considered especially valuable if the demobilization itself has not even touched it with a finger. Volunteers, on the other hand, are rewarded for the services rendered: they do not wear outfits and can sleep longer.
Step 3
When planning to design a demobilized album, remember that there are no official design rules. But there are still certain rules. One of the most important conditions is that the album must be very colorful. The pages of the book are treated with varnish, tracing paper is placed between them, which serves as a kind of sheet separator. After the sheets are processed, they need to be decorated. It is problematic to do this, since it is rather difficult to paint on a varnish coating. Therefore, in order to apply the pattern, needles and toothbrushes are used. With their help, paint is sprayed onto the paper. The cover is designed by wrapping the frame with velvet or cloth. And then it is decorated with chasing.
Step 4
You need to fasten the album with bolts turned from metal. And along the edge of the cover, you need to put a silk cord piping.
Step 5
And, of course, special attention should be paid to photographs. After all, they are the heart of the demob album. Mandatory rule: on the first page there must be a photograph of the owner in full dress and with insignia of all degrees. The second most important page is taking the oath. And one more photo, which is of no small importance - this is a snapshot of a girl who is waiting for her fighter home. The main part of the album contains photos of everyday life: guarding, shifts, etc. The command of the unit is trying to prevent the appearance of such pictures in photo albums, because, as a rule, they depict secret location objects. Therefore, officers periodically conduct checks with inspection of the personal belongings of conscripts. But pictures all the same, with enviable regularity, appear in demob albums.
Step 6
All pictures in the album are arranged in a strictly chronological order. After all, the purpose of such a photo gallery is to show how the soldier went from "spirit" to "grandfather." Therefore, for special pathos, an order for conscription is placed at the beginning of the album, and at the end - on demobilization. And, of course, it is imperative to indicate the type of troops, the number of the unit, the place where it is located, and the service life.
Step 7
And one more obligatory item, which must not be forgotten, is the presence of poems and cartoons in the album. It is on the pages of the demobilization album that you can read the texts of all the famous army songs. Also, there are wishes from colleagues and commanders. This album is the best reminder of youth. And many conscripts, having matured, will definitely show it to their children and grandchildren.
