Step 1
Measure the volume of the silver. To do this, pour water into a measuring vessel up to a certain division. Write down the indicator. Dip the item to be examined into the vessel. Write down to what level the water has risen.
Subtract the first from the second. This is the volume of the subject under study.
Step 2
Weigh the item to be tested. Write down the mass.
Step 3
Based on the data obtained, calculate the density of the object. To do this, divide the mass of the item by its volume. The density of silver should be 10.5 g per cubic centimeter. If you get such a result, then we have a silver item.
