It is necessary

  • Knitting needles No. 1 1/2, No. 6
  • Wool - 500g.
  • Auxiliary thread

Instructions

Step 1

The jumper will be knitted with stocking knitting on different diameters of the knitting needles, elastic band 1 * 1.

Step 2

Calculation of loops: 40 loops = 10cm, 34 rows = 10cm.

Step 3

Start knitting with a round cuff. With needles # 1 1/2 with auxiliary thread, cast on the required number of loops for the cuff and knit 4 rows. Then knit 4-6 rows with the main thread.

Step 4

Remove the auxiliary thread, put the open loops with the main thread on the additional knitting needle. Fold the knitted strip in half, inside out. On 2 knitting needles, you will get twice as many loops. Knit two stitches together - one from the main needle, the other from the auxiliary needle. You should have the same number of stitches as the original set.

Step 5

Tie with an elastic band 1 * 1 6 cm. Start knitting the sleeve with needles # 6. Knit 4 wide strips of 22 rows each along its length. Add loops around the edges of the sleeve to expand up to 50cm. 4th narrow stripe should line up with the line of the armhole.

Step 6

After tying the sleeve, cast on additional loops on both sides for the remaining length of the front and back on the side. Knit all parts of the sweater together, placing 6 wide and 5 narrow stripes along the front and back. Knit 17 cm. Separate the front and back knit, knitting each piece separately to create a 24cm neckline.

Step 7

Then again combine 2 parts of knitting and knit another 17cm. Tie to the beginning of the second sleeve. Fasten the front and back loops. Knit the sleeve to the beginning of the cuff. Decrease the loops in the order in which the increase was made when knitting the first sleeve.

Step 8

Knit the second cuff separately, starting from the round edge, according to the principle of knitting the first. At the round edge, start knitting the elastic along the bottom edge of the sweater.

Step 9

Sew on cuffs and elastic using a horizontal knit stitch.

Step 10

To finish the neckline, knit a 12cm wide strip with a stocking, equal in length to the neckline of the back and front. Sew it to the jumper, wrong side up.
