Among lovers of knitting, a pattern is very popular, which is an intertwined diamond-shaped honeycomb cell. It consists of simple elements that are regularly repeated, so it is not difficult to master it. With the help of such a pattern, you can create an elegant and, at the same time, unobtrusive knitted fabric relief. Known for several different options for knitting "honeycomb" needles.

It is necessary

  • - yarn;
  • - straight knitting needles.

Instructions

Step 1

Cast on 24 stitches on straight knitting needles. Purl the entire 1st row and knit the entire 2nd row. Start the 3rd row of relief with 2 pairs of knit stitches. Remove the next 2 loops without knitting. At the same time, keep the working thread on the seamy side of the fabric. Finish the row with the pattern. In row 4, knit 4 purl loops, leave the next 2 untied and remove to a working knitting needle. Place the thread now on the face of the work.

Step 2

Run 5 row, repeating the pattern of the 3rd, 6th row - the pattern of the 4th, 7th row - the pattern of the 3rd, 8th row - the pattern of the 4th row. Knit the entire 9th row of the pattern with purl loops, the entire 10th row with front loops.

Step 3

In the 11th row, use the following pattern of alternating loops: knit 1 loop as a knit one, and remove the next pair of loops untied on a working knitting needle. Keep the thread on the seamy side of the work. Next, do 1 pair of knit stitches and continue to knit the row in the same way. Start row 12 with purl, then remove 2 loops while holding the working thread on the right side of the canvas. Knit 4 knit stitches. Work in this way to the end of the entire row.

Step 4

Repeat the knitting pattern up to row 17. Namely, for rows 13 and 15, use pattern 11, and for rows 14 and 16 - pattern 12. Continue knitting the "honeycomb", repeating the steps performed in rows 1 and 16.

Step 5

Try also the patent version of the "honeycomb" knitting pattern. To do this, cast on any odd number of loops. Remember that no edge loops will fit into the pattern. Sew an edge loop, then knit the front one. Remove one loop with the yarn over. Repeat this to the end of the row, finish it with an edge hem loop. In the 2nd row, perform the front and edge loops, then tie the loop in front of the crochet like the front one. Remove the yarn. Draw the working thread behind the yarn. Finish the element of the pattern with a front loop.

Step 6

In the 3rd row, remove the double crochet loop after the edge, as purl, then knit another double crochet loop as the front one. Continue to the end of the entire row, removing one crochet stitch again in front of the hem.

Step 7

Start the 4th row after the edge loop with the front loop, then remove the yarn over the pattern and sew the front loop again. Perform the entire row in this way, completing it with a combination: front loop - remove yarn - edge loop.

Step 8

In the 5th row, after the edge loop, knit the next one together with the crochet, remove it as purl and perform 1 loop with a crochet. Complete the row by repeating these manipulations and knitting the yarn and loop together. Make an edge loop.
