Step 1
For origami, use only a square piece of paper. Any other form is a departure from classical art. In addition, the square shape implies immobility, a state of calm and harmony. That is why first the Chinese, and then the Japanese sages chose it as the basis. Glue, scissors, tears and cuts are also excluded, since they violate the integrity and self-sufficiency of both the form and the process.
Step 2
Fold the sheet twice diagonally, folding back each time. The fold lines should be clearly visible, you will be guided by them in the future.
Step 3
Fold the square in half to make a rectangle. Place it with a wide forked part downwards.
Step 4
Bend the side corners inward. As a result, you will get an obtuse triangle on the outside, and two zigzags or recumbent letters "m" located in mirror symmetry to each other inside.
Step 5
Fold the top corners towards the middle, first the right, then the left. You will get an inverted crystal on a triangle.
Step 6
Fold the newly folded corners in half in the opposite direction. Flip the shape over.
Step 7
Fold the bottom corners of the triangle towards the center to form a square or rhombus. Then, in the same direction, bend the side corners again, again to the middle.
Step 8
Fold down the bottom (closest to you) half of the figure. Then bend half of the just folded part in the opposite direction.
Step 9
The frog is ready. To make it jump, press its back (closest to you) to the ground and release it sharply.
