There are many types of crochet borders. Some of them are more complex, and some are simple, and even a beginner knitter can knit them.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to knit a border in the form of simple scallops, knit in a circle so that the number of loops is a multiple of six. In the first row, tie the single crochet, and then tie the connecting loop and move on to the second row.
Step 2
Work one stitch, then single crochet. Skip two base loops, tie seven double crochets into the next loop of the previous row, and then skip two base loops and knit further in the same pattern. Finish the row with a connecting loop.

You can also knit a variation of this border - openwork scallops. In the same way, knit in a circle, knitting single crochet in the first row. In the second row, tie a chain stitch and then knit one single crochet, skip two base loops and tie four double crochets into the next stitch of the previous row.
Step 4
In order to knit a border in the form of a mesh, knit the first row of loops and tie them with single crochets, then tie a connecting loop and knit three air lifting loops in the second row. Then knit three simple stitches and one double crochet into the first stitch of the previous row. Skip two base loops and tie two double crochets into the next loop of the previous row, making the distance between the posts by three air loops.
Step 5
Another type of border is openwork teeth. In this pattern, the number of loops should be a multiple of two. Knit in a circle - knit the first row of single crochets, and then knit a connecting loop and move on to the second row. Tie three lifting chain stitches, one chain stitch, and then skip the base loop and tie a double crochet into the next stitch of the previous row.

Continue with the pattern and finish the row with a connecting loop.
