Creative and patient individuals manage to create a musical instrument. Depending on preferences, the master himself chooses the order of assembling the instrument, the shape and design, because rigid traditions have not been fixed in the guitar mastery. You can experiment yourself with the shape of the head, body, stand, type of edging. Of course, there is still a certain sequence of work.
Instructions
Step 1
Pick up a bar for the neck. The neck of the guitar can be flat or have a deflection that is very difficult to form, so you better go with the first option. Straighten your guitar neck. To do this, align and sand the body of the fingerboard, having previously determined how much the neck is bent. Evaluate with the strings taut so that the neck receives a standard load. Use a normal tension of 50 kg.
If you want the neck not to bend at all with the strings taut, then use high quality hardwood (black, ebony).
Step 2
Use a loop and sandpaper to work with the neck, never a plane. Constantly look along both sides of the bar for a flat and uneven surface.
Step 3
Make the decks. The deck consists of two parts, the seam falls over the middle of the guitar. Make sure that the material for the guitar decks is firmly seated and that the layers of wood run along the dimensions of the workpiece. A deck blank consists of two thin pieces of wood, which are ideally longitudinal pieces of one plank. Select the form according to the template.
Step 4
Choose a tree for the spring of the fan system, the layers of the spring must be on the deck, so use the thinnest and most radial wood. Spruce or cedar will do.
Make rips from blanks with a section of 20x10 mm. Calculate their length from the gluing point and with your body.
Step 5
Now get into footers. Place the top footer layers on the deck along its length. You can use the trims of the deck blank. Install a bottom framing that strengthens the gluing of both parts of the deck, make sure that in it, on the contrary, the layers are located across the reinforced seam. For the inner footer, you can also take cuttings of the decks blank, just cut off the strip from the end part.
Make a stand out of sturdy material.
Select the material for the guitar nut. Bone that you can buy is ideal.
Make the shells from any dense material, it is better if the material of the shells is the same as the material of the bottom.
Step 6
Bend the shells by heating and wetting the wood. It is better to buy the top and bottom dumplings, counter beads, edges and a rosette ready-made.
Make the bottom of the guitar from the same blank as the soundboard. Now collect all the parts and glue them in a sequence convenient for you.
