The organization of a dance group, like any creative act, is a troublesome and multifaceted business. The question of the name of the group is not usually underestimated, but is often postponed until later with the resolution "let's think of something." As a rule, then it turns out that coming up with a good name is much more difficult than it seemed. The principle "what you call a boat - so it will float" also works here.

Instructions
Step 1
If the dances from your group's repertoire have their own names, one of them may be an excellent option for you ("Turdion", "Dargason", "Bassdance"). Choose something beautiful, unusual, or something that has special meaning to you (for example, the first dance you learned).
Step 2
Many dance steps and figures have their own names, you can easily choose one of them as a name for the group. For example, Riverenza or Cadenza.
Step 3
The name of the group can be the name of a place or object that is especially significant for your dance direction. It can be a city, country, river, building, or whatever. For example, Versailles, Albion, Rio de Janeiro. A toponym may not be an independent name, but a part of it, for example, "Petersburg secrets" or "Brazilian night".
Step 4
It would be logical for the ensemble of folk dances to mention in its name the nationality whose dances are present in the repertoire, or some characteristic feature of this culture. For example, "Celtic Patterns", "Tartan", "Galician Bagpipes" or at least just Folk Danse.
Step 5
The name of the group can reflect the dance era or theme, especially when it comes to ancient dances. For example, Medival, Renaissance, Belle Époque.
Step 6
The name should be consistent with the style of the group and the nature of the dance. The name "Zhuravushka" is suitable for a Russian folk ensemble, but not for break dance, and if you dance elegant waltzes and country dances, you should not be called "Round Dance of Drunken Trolls" or "Wild Horses". This is not so important if you are dancing only for yourself and your friends, but if you are counting on the general public and demonstrations, come up with a name that you will not have to change later.
