Step 1
In order to sew a bag, we need to decide on the dimensions of the workpiece. The height of the bag + the width of the drawstring + the hem - this will be the width of the fabric, the width of the bag multiplied by 2 - this will be the length of our workpiece. According to the calculated parameters, we cut out a rectangular workpiece.
Step 2
Now you need to carefully sew the side and bottom seams. If you don’t have anything to overcast the seam edges, I advise you to sew the edges with a linen seam. Those. fold the fabric inside out and sew close to the edge. Then, turn it inside out, straighten the seam, cut the corner and sew on the wrong side. The seam processed in this way will be stronger and will not crumble.
Attention! Leave a gap in the seam open at the level of the drawstring in order to thread the tape through the hole.
Step 3
Fold back the edge of the drawstring fabric, fold over the edge, and sew.
