Plastic bottles are ideal material for making various garden decorations. With their help, craftsmen make interesting sculptures. For example, a peacock turns out to be very original, which can take its rightful place in any front garden.
It is necessary
- - 8-10 liter canister;
- - wire;
- - plastic pipe with a diameter of 1.5-3 cm;
- - metal grid;
- - Styrofoam;
- - different bottle sizes;
- - paint;
- - glue;
- - a stand for the future peacock;
- - sandpaper;
- - self-tapping screws.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut off the top and side of the canister, move it slightly at an angle back, secure it with wire or self-tapping screws, giving the container a kind of torso.
Step 2
Form the skeleton of the bird from the wire. Bend the wire so that you can place and secure the canister on the fold, which acts as the back of the peacock. The folded and connected strip of the canister should be at the bottom, the bottom of the canister on top of the peacock. Shape your legs. Slide the plastic tubes over them. From bottles with a capacity of 0, 5 or 0, 7 liters (milk can be used), cut the bottom at an angle and put the upper part of the container on your legs, forming a peacock "thigh". Place the future bird on a stand. You can use a small wooden board as it. Fasten the frame well with the stand. To do this, drill several holes in the stand and pass a thinner wire through them.
Step 3
From dark kvass or beer bottles, cut the wings for the bird's body. From one bottle, make eight long feathers and six short ones from the bottom. Give the feathers a shape and with screws row by row make "plumage" on the body. Leave the top bare.
Step 4
Then take the metal mesh. For work, you need a rectangle measuring 45-150 cm. This will be a "continuation" of the body and tail of the future peacock. Bend the mesh along the length of the torso, giving the shape of the wing. Cut where needed. Secure. Similarly, make a wing on the other side of the canister.
Step 5
Now get down to feathering. Cut strips from five-liter, three-, two-, one and a half liter bottles. Now start stringing them onto the mesh. It is best to attach the stripes in a semicircle. At the same time, trim the "feathers" as necessary, giving them the desired shape and length. Make the tail in the same way. You can use green bottles for it.
Step 6
When the main part of the peacock is ready, start making the head. For her, take dense foam. Mark it up and cut out the desired head shape. For the eyes, you can use the eyes from a soft toy. Or, make your own from pieces of colored plastic, such as shampoo bottles. Sand the peacock's head with sandpaper. Make a tuft of long stripes from dark bottles. To do this, bend the strips 0.5-1 cm wide in half, do not bend the top, make a feather out of it. Insert the tufted feathers into your head. Secure them with Moment, Titanium or Superglue. Wrap your neck with plastic bottles. According to the previously worked out scheme, make the plumage of the head. Make a beak from the bottle. Secure it with self-tapping screws, which at the same time will fulfill the role of nostrils. Glue on your eyelids.
Step 7
When the peacock is completely ready, cut out the legs from the top of the bottles and put on the bird. Color the bird. For this it is better to use enamel. The second layer, if desired, can be applied with spray paint.
