You can surprise and please a loved one by making a souvenir for him with your own hands. This will not be a standard gift bought in a store, but an item in which you have invested a piece of your strength and emotions. Create a topiary - a small artificial tree that can be decorated for a specific holiday or season.
It is necessary

- - burlap.
Instructions
Step 1
Create a crown for the tree. It can be made from a commercially available foam ball or you can make it yourself. Take a few sheets of newspaper and crumple them up. Shape them into the desired size and wrap with thread to keep the newspapers from falling apart.
Step 2
Find the trunk for your souvenir tree. It can be a driftwood, a hard cardboard center from a roll of cling film or foil, a stick or a branch. Insert the barrel into the crown, secure with PVA glue or hot glue from a gun.
Step 3
Prepare a topiary stand. It must be strong and stable enough so that the future decorated tree does not fall. You may find flower pots, a bucket of mayonnaise or ice cream, small jars or vases useful.
Step 4
Secure the topiary trunk to the prepared stand. You will need plaster or alabaster. Dilute it according to the instructions. Stir well to avoid large lumps. Pour the solution into a tree container and immediately center the trunk. Hold it with your hands until the plaster or alabaster grabs. This will happen very quickly. Leave the topiary for a day so that the solution is completely frozen.
Step 5
Decorate the crown of the souvenir topiary. Decoration materials vary. For example, the use of coffee beans is quite popular; walnuts or hazelnuts are also used. Paint the base brown under them so that it does not catch the eye, and the tree looks neat. When decorating a ball with shells, diversify it with pearls or shiny stones. For the New Year holidays, dress the tree with shiny balls and rain.
Step 6
Decorate the visible part of the trunk. It can be wrapped with a suitable colored rope or jute cord. Paste over with fur or paint with acrylic paints.
Step 7
Decorate your topiary stand. It can be wrapped in burlap or craft paper, wrapped in colored thread or pasted over with cloth. The main thing is that the created outfit corresponds to the general design idea of the tree.
